Vented gas logs are usually considered a decorative appliance, as their primary function is to provide the most realistic recreation of a natural wood fire, while replacing the drawbacks of burning wood with the safety and convenience of gas.
Vent-free gas logs typically provide more radiant heat than a traditional vented log set, but must be designed to burn much more cleanly than vented, thus compromising a great deal of their realism.
Normally, consumers are forced to choose between the increased heating
capability
of vent-free and the greater realism of vented gas logs. |

With Hargrove's Radiant
Heat series log sets, you no longer have to choose heat over realism
- you
can have the finest log set available and all the heat you want.
Cross Timbers features substantial front logs, heavy bark, abundant charring
and warm glow deep within the heart of the log set, for a striking look.
Rustic Timbers' mix of large and small logs pushes the glow up front, showcasing
dark charring and
colorful split wood textures, while combining
a variety of uniquely shaped logs into each set.

Unlike most Hargrove logs, Radiant Heat series logs are made from ceramic
fiber.
Hargrove has developed a revolutionary new molding process, which captures
all the detail you expect from Hargrove, but was previously unattainable
with ceramic fiber logs.
Ceramic fiber contributes to the outstanding radiant heating characteristics of both log models in this series and also adds a warm, natural glow to
many areas of the fire, further enhancing the set's realism. |
Our Radiant Riser™ technology directs the
heat from the Hargrove burner forward and out into the room, creating
radiant heat output comparable to vent-free,
with the natural beauty of vented logs.
Cross Timbers and Rustic Timbers use Radiant Riser™ technology, and are designed

| Hargrove's vented gas log burner
systems use the finest quality materials for years of trouble-free
operation. The heart of the gas log set is the Ember Burner.
Built with a heavy, 16 gauge steel pan, the burner is designed to distribute
gas throughout the burn area in a random and ever-changing pattern,
just like a real wood fire. Hargrove's Ember Burner system
is designed to work with all standard depth, single-sided log sets. |

The new H Burner expands upon the
Ember burner concept by adding a full-length secondary burner tube
to the
front area of the burner pan. This advancement
provides additional
flame in front of the logs, which helps radiate more heat into the
home while enhancing the look of the log set, and also
creates an improved ember bed, particularly in liquid propane applications. Hargrove's
H Burner is designed to work with all standard depth, single-sided
log sets. |
| System Four is
Hargrove's revolutionary vented burner system, designed specifically
to provide outstanding performance in liquid propane applications.
Controlled porting and optimal fuel to air ratios
create an extremely clean burning system that provides natural
flame patterns and a full glowing ember bed, with much less carbon
production than previous liquid propane systems. The stainless
and carbon steel burner features hidden controls, and multiple units
may be combined to create a wide range of sizes, as well as see-thru
units. System
Four was also a 2005 finalist for the prestigious Vesta award for gas
logs. System Four is designed to work with all standard depth
log sets. |

The unique Pedestal
Grate system works together with Hargrove's burner systems to
create a full, roaring fire. This design allows optimum
air flow through the set, for better flame height and a more natural
flame pattern. Standard
Hargrove grates are made from sturdy 5/8" steel stock, giving longer
life and maximum durability. |
| Hargrove's See-Thru
designs use a specialized grate in combination with dual Ember Burners,
to create plentiful flames and a beautiful ember bed that can be viewed
from both sides of the fireplace. See-Thru sets are available
in most log styles, with standard or shallow depth configurations.
Specific models using a single burner arrangement are offered
with RGA2-72 or ANSI Z21.60 certification. |

| The Ember Enhancing
System creates a deeper ember bed by adding a secondary burner
to the front of the log set's Ember Burner. This
allows the Ember Burner to be positioned further back in the fireplace,
for more flame in the center and rear of the log set, or can be used
to add more glowing embers to the front of the set. |

The Grate Top
Coal Bed rests in the center area of the Pedestal Grate, just below
the logs. This allows creation of a second glowing
ember bed in the center of the log set, thus giving the appearance
of a natural, mature fire, with a fully developed ember bed reaching into the middle
of the fire. |

Decorative grate
facings are available in two distinctive styles to accent your
fireplace and Hargrove gas log set. The Pedestal Grate
Facing (left) is designed to hang from the log set's grate, and will
sit above the floor of the fireplace. The Free-Standing Grate Facing (right) stands on the fireplace floor, allowing flexible placement. |
